Andrea DeMaio is an analog collage artist based in New York City. Using mostly found materials, Andrea examines ideas such as place, wonder, joy, and universality through the magic of displacement; children play at the edge of the world, domestic objects move through space, and arcane images blend with familiar modernity. Through her work, Andrea is able to reconcile impossible dimensions of time by situating the past, present, and future within the same composition. Borders dissolve, memory becomes tangible, possibility illuminates; there is no doubt that Andrea's talents lie in blurring lines and bending rules so as to elicit hope.
